Pakistan connects with France through submarine cable

The 15,000-km submarine cable will connect Karachi to Marseille

ISLAMABAD – The construction of a submarine cable infrastructure linking Pakistan to France was completed and is ready for service by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority.

According to the statement, the 15,000km submarine cable will connect Karachi to Marseille.

PTA also announced that the cable was extended from Pakistan to Singapore for 6,500km. The main trunk will land in Singapore, Pakistan and Kenya, Egypt and France, while branches will land in the Maldives and Malta.

PTA stated that the “it adds an ultrafast, high-capacity, low latency, and redundant connectivity to Pakistan’s international connectivity.”
