Ten major cities are at risk of dengue epidemics. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of an outbreak of dengue in 10 cities. This could be due to the climate conditions during the post-monsoon period. According to the PMD, the atmosphere is creating the perfect conditions for mosquito multiplication and consequently the spread of vector-borne disease. This was based on past climate outlook and data analysis. According to Friday’s alert, the meteorological agency stated that the environment is favorable for dengue outbreak.
